Today Oogalabs launched Medpedia.com, its new web medical information website. Medpedia promises to be for accessing medical information what Wikipedia is for web-based information. Medpedia is designed to be used by both lay people and medical professionals, with content provided and edited only by medical professionals. So, if you got a boo-boo or want to find out about a boo-boo, put Medpedia in favorites and you’re good to go any time you have a question.
Oogalabs is a hive of web development professionals assembled by James Currier in San Francisco. Last year RR readers were introduced to my friend James, Oogalabs, and Medpedia (here) as an example of a ‘take two’ of what successful dotcom entrepreneurs like James Currier are doing after landing on the beach. Too young, too smart, and too much life left to hang it up – so they dive into projects, most self-funded, to do the next thing, and in the process give something back (Oogalabs blog link on right). So take a look at Medpedia and see if it fits your bill.
